Sorry its taken so long it was all down to the assault squad, i had to try and find some varnish for the transfers and decide on what symbols to use as i have decided not to follow standard codex squad markings and am following the black templars crusade fleets idea (that way no restrictions on how many marines i can have). I know its beardy but hey its for apocalypse.
Anyway what you guys think?
Sorry guys these pics somehow got deleted because of the others i did i'm not sure how must be nurglings in my computer! Anyhow there are more pics later on in this thread.

Really nice work. The red is so even and rich, how did you do that? The dread looks great, so does the assault sergeant. good job!:victory:

good job mate, as mentioned you red is very nice and clean i take it you use machrite red as your base colour to get such a nice finish ? only improvements i would suggest is some highlights, i would go for 50/50 red gore and blood red and then a final highlight of pure blood red and for your creamish komando khaki like colour some skull white highlights would compliment it nicely and make it much much more striking on the board. very nice paint scheme though mate ! I really like the colour scheme particularly how you've split the helmets with the two different colours, it's similar to a White Panther style. Good job!

Thanks for the comments. The colours used:For the red it was a base of merchrite with a heavy drybrush of blood with two coats of baal red wash, i know it don't look it from the photos but they do have natural highlights and shading to a level i'm happy with. The other colour is deneb stone, i chose not to highlight this as its quite close to white and instead decided to give it a gloss varnish which takes the flatness away. Not sure if any of you have seen them but i do have some terminators on an earlier thread that have since had the gloss varnish treatment? Thanks again for the positive comments it really helps.

From what I can tell they look really nice. I would love to see some closer pics to get a gander at the details a bit more however.

Damn I love that dreadnaught scheme.
The simple colored shoulder on him makes a massive appeal to me personally.

Very nice clean paintjob. Good work on the deep reds, I know they can be hard to do. Could use some highlights though, especially on the dread.
