yeah i noticed a lot of the craftworld specific stuff now available to any army. kinda just wanted to use ulthes black guard. and a seer council with a lot of farseers and a ton of warlocks. just thought that would be fun.

They did the same thing for Eldar that was done for Chaos. Rather than saying "You can only have this stuff if you paint your guys a certainc olor" they just opened it all up so that everyone can have everything.

This is good in that you can still, with little modification, run CW-speciffic army lists (sure, you may end up losing a few options or rules, but it's mostly there), and it;s even better in that you can mix and match the most effective options from the whole book and come up with something that's generally more powerful.

Eldar got handed an alarmingly good codex with some really nasty combinations and options. You may not be able to do CW stuff exactly the way you used to, but the stuff you can do now is generally a lot better.

i know but like ive said before and others..theres chapter codexes and a legion codex comming out soon and why cant there be a codex craftworld
I don't think they need a Craftworld codex. The way the current codex is set up you can build you're army to the specs of the different Craftworlds.

What I'm saying is they took the two older codex's and rolled them together to get a very dynamic and colorful army. So I don't understand why there would be a need for another Eldar codex. Chaos was planned to be spread across multiple books.

Well again the Legion specific codex is only a vague "wished for" codex at best. GW has made no mention of doing it and if you fully believe the rumors that its coming out we also have rumors of high up people at GW stating specifically that it is not coming out.

Though I would say that it does not excuse GW for making 500 diffrent Imperial codexes (BT, BA, DA, SW,.....) If all of them can get their own codex why couldnt a Craftworld or a Legion get their own codex??

Bottom line... if GW senses that they could make money off of it they might do it. Till then dont get your hopes up or try to get as many people to send letters to ask for it as possible.

I'm still kinda shocked that you would waste good candy bars on GW. If it helps any at least the Eldar got a new codex, just think about there cousins the Dark Eldar who might see a new codex when hell freezes over.

Well back when the TV show Jericho was scheduled to be cancelled someone sent CBS about 2000lbs of peanuts to tell them that they were "Nuts" for cancelling such a good show. Apperantly it worked and Jericho is scheduled to come back for a second season at some point in time.

Anyways.. sometimes doing strange things like that actually works. Now if I could only find something that could be associated with FAQs I'd send GW a thousand of them to give them the hint that we would like updated FAQs.

The changes to the Eldar dex have done the same to my armies as the changes to the Chaos dex. Both have taken the particular flavour that I've enjoyed most and removed it. I really liked the small but elite Biel-Tan altered FOC, and I loved the old Rubric Terminators and Flamers. Both of my armies were well outnumbered, and often outgunned as well, but I did have quite a bit of fun with my theme driven armies. With the new dexes, I was forced to set the theme I enjoyed aside in order to field a 'legal' army. Both have been traded off in favor of armies that can legally support the vision I have for them. The Sororitas and Necrons will be, for me, what Eldar and Chaos can no longer be, legal armies designed for me by me, as it is my money and effort that pays for this hobby of mine.
