That's what you consider basic? Its stunning! How did you the rocks? They look so textured yet crisp?

By airbrushing various tones of greys, some browns in the recesses and greens at the bottom to represent algae.

Wash the whole thing with a sepia ink mixed with floor polish and then finally a quick drybrush with GW dry white to finish it off and make it crisp.

I'd say that's a bit above most people's table-top standard, but not shockingly. Most of these models have what 5-10 colours?

What @elmir has that is usually lacking when people talk about a "table-top" standard is exceptional taste.

It's entirely possible to use fast methods and a limited palette and still achieve great results.
@fatmantis go back through and do a count of the colours. It's usually about 5 or 6 per model. Elmir did a great job with his washes and highlights, there's just the right amount of lights, darks, and contrast.

Care to give a bit of a rundown on that?

The green OSL is a very basic dark green (I think snot green, not 100% sure), then scorpion green airbrushed from VGCA and then livery green, also VGCA.

And Kreuger is right. This is table-top, because it's basic colours with minor detailing, combined with an all over wash (homemade recipe with floorpolish, sepia and black ink) applied by airbrush. Quick, effective... looks more than good enough for tabletop standard and doesn't break the bank too much for the client.
