I wanted to see if anyone has read the Black Templar and Ork comics that were put out a few years ago. Every time I bring them up at GW everyone just gives me a puzzled look, which is a shame because they're fantastic comics. I'm really not that big of a fan of the 40k novels, IMHO they're not written very well but I think that the 40k universe lends itself to comic books very nicely.

The only Wahammer comics I've read are the Ulli and Marquand one set in Mordheim, and the Titan and Blood Quest (Blood Angels) set in 40k.

I wouldn't mind reading the Ork and Templar ones but I must say I was never a fan of the art style of GW comics.

They were by Boom! Studios, I believe. I remember the Black Templar ones, at least. And yes, I enjoyed them too.

I really liked Titan. Bloodquest was probably the weakest out of all the warhammer graphic novels that I've read. Boom! studios, that's it! I couldn't remember the name. But yeah they're pretty fun reads, I wish GW would market them a little more, maybe include an issue with white dwarf or something, that would be really sweet. I talked to one of the Boom! artists at the last Games Day they had in L.A. and things weren't looking too good for them.

The deathwatch graphic novel was tolerable. predictable, but tolerable. Weren't the black templar ones done partially by Dan Abnett? i forget...
