Codex: Slaanesh (Grey Knights rewrite) - Version 2.0

EDIT:
I have completed version 2.0 and it is attached. Enjoy!
As before comments and criticisms are welcome.

So as a Emperor's Children player, and Slaanesh fan in general, I am one of many that is sorely disappointed by the current CSM Codex. So I took Codex: Grey Knights, and have completely re-written some sections, renaming and changing descriptions to create a rule set for an elite, powerful army of Chaos Space Marines that follow Slaanesh.
To actually use it in play requires ownership of Codex: Grey Knights as I chose not to reprint some of the rules, and I did not include any of the points/options sections. I hope this is sufficient that GW does not get upset, but if I hear anything from them I will immediately take it down. That said, this list is also totally legal to use in GW sanctioned events, as it uses only GW-published rules, just with different names, which was my motivation for starting this project in the first place.

This is just the first draft, but please take a look, tell me what you think, use it if you like it, or be inspired to create your own counts-as Codex if you like.
I haven't done the Stormraven or any special characters yet, they will be included in revision 2. I'm also not totally sure about some of the names or ideas. Comments and criticisms are welcome.

Enjoy!

can you plz make it a Word document or a PDF? i dont really want to buy a Rapidshare account or go through the annoyance of making a free one.

wouldnt it be easier in Word or PDF?
It's already a PDF
Try this download link: http://www.filedropper.com/scionsofslaaneshrev1
They don't require an account to download.
sorry, the link wont work for me.

try to upload it to the site as an attatchment, do you know how?

there should be a "manage attachments" button way below the text box of a reply/edit. go to edit and then click go advanced and manage attachments will be available. click on it and click browse, then find your file. once you have, clock the upload button to the far right of the link to your file.
I didn't know I could attach PDF's.
Thank you.
That should be much easier for everyone.
Just added Revision 1.1
Nothing big, changed around the names of some of the weapons.
sorry, i finally got to review the codex. i liked it, in many ways a counts-as codex is harder to make than a complete fandex because you must fit the fluff and restrictions of the existing list.i liked all the different names and abilities you used, especially to explain how good they are against demons. i lol'ed at some of the terms though, they were seedy X)"maximum penetration"... heheh
It's Slaanesh, if anything it's still not seedy enough. The next version I think I need to see if I can get more innuendo in there ;)
Revision 2.0 is out and I have attached it to the first post.
As always, please let me know what you think!
So I came across this because I literally had the exact same idea, and even some of the exact same ideas you had. Some of my suggestions are though, instead of Daemonette Swords, I figured that the Emperors Children could be using some sort of pain amplification weaponry, similar to Fabius Bile's, or even just injecting people full of daemonic ichor to represent the instant death effect.

I called Aegis "Psychic Resonance" instead, representing the interference that the constant sonic weaponry waves could be causing. Warp Quake would just be "These go to eleven" cranking up the resonance even higher to cause major disruption in targeting equipment and teleporting.

For Hammerhand, I was saying it was a drug effect, like PCP, and Perils was an overdose.

I like your "Amplify" idea for the purgation squads, as well as the Chosen as your Purifiers.

For Dreadknights I was going to make Hellknights: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_gKXe619YS...AA4/o-aFKdI9wek/s320/58679831_HellKnights.jpg

I think for weaponry we had the same ideas, sonic blaster = storm bolter, blastmaster = psycannon, doomsiren = incinerator. Instead of Warpbolt ammunition, i was going to give them "Amplifiers" which are represented by speakers built into the armor and/or backpack.

Great Inspiration though! I'm glad that I'm not the only one to see how well the rules actually fit.

I like your ideas. Would you let me use them in the next edition if I credit you on the cover?

I thought about making the HellKnights, but that would make them 3-4" taller than a Dreadknight and the weapon options didn't match up very well. I came up with the idea of a smaller Knight that is a Daemon-engine like a Defiler, which also accounts for it not being a vehicle.

Since not all weapons that can benefit from PsyBolt ammo is sonic, I split it into Warpbolt Ammo and Vile Chants depending on if the weapon is sonic or not, but it does the same thing. Same with Warpflame Ammo and Vile Chords to Psyflame Ammo.

Please do, I'd love to see the results!
If you like my formatting, I can send you the original Word document to use as a template.

Absolutely, be my guest. The Hellknight should be taller by epic standards, but if forgeworld has taught us anything, it's that rescaling vehicles is pretty common.
Dude, if everyone re-wrote their rulebooks just because they can't play their chosen army effectively, the game would be no fun.
Considering your very first post EVER was to necro a thread from 2011....

Huh wha?
Couldn't remember my username.
For some reason none of these sites accommodate for that, so a new address has to be made.

Also, the age of the thread removes the validity of the comment?
Your comment makes even less sense.
OP still gets the notifications.
It's called Thread Necro'ing, and it's usually something against the rules of any forum community ever. The last post here was over two years old, which means that the original poster isn't doing jack about it anymore, and probably doesn't care about your opinion, or the discussion would have continued, or have a more recent thread.

For you to go out of your way to create a new account, and then to dig down 2 years to find your reply and make a comment as attacking as the one that you just made as your first official act after forgetting your password would be tantamount to harrasment.

Does my comment make sense now?
