If I was working on a store, and somebody, anybody, came claiming he was robbing me and wanted the register, the proper course of action is to comply instantly. Even if it was granny in a wheelchair. The job is to clean the store, make inventory, compile sales and accept payments. Defending the store against petty criminals is not part of the job. And they don't pay you enough for that. Add a zero at the end of my salary and gimme a big gun. Then we're talking.
