This isnt like, die hard fluffy, but i am desperate for a fluffy, good themed army to play with, so i worked out something like this;
This is nothing new, probly seen alot before, just need clarification/ideas before i go out and buy what i dont have.

Kharn the betrayer - 165

Daemon Prince - 155
Wings, Warptime

8 Khorne Berserkers - 278
Champion w/ powerfist, 2 meltaguns, rhino with EA
8 Khorne Berserkers - 278
Champion w/ powerfist, 2 meltaguns, rhino with EA
8 Khorne Berserkers - 208
Champion w/ Powerfist

Chaos Land Raider - 255
Havoc Launcher, dozerblade and EA

2 Obliterators - 150

Total 1489.


Stick Kharn with a squad in the land raider, slug it and 2 rhinos of KB's across the map, lots of Extra Armour there, covering fire from the obliterators, daemon prince runs off round the edge, hopefully then the other guy will have to try and focus on him to make sure, letting my main fleet walk in, and if not, the land raider should survive, in which case i have a daemon prince flying in(literally) from the other side.
Given the land raider a dozer blade so that it can get to where i want it to without stupid scenery trying to stop me. Should i drop a melta somewhere, and add a dozer blade on the 2 rhinos so that they can follow direct suit with the 2 rhinos. THOUGHTS.

Walk the oblits in slowly, lascannon -> Plasma Cannon until 24inch when it can just try and kill stuff whatever is left after 24 khorne berserkers packing 3 power fists and 4 meltaguns, not to mentain 2 attacks each, 5 for kharn, 4 for the DP with rerolls, Basically adding up to 57 Close Combat attacks from people who are literally insane at close combat, and enough normal KB's for kharn to betray all he likes.

is there anything i just said that is ridiculously wrong or a flaw, jeopardising my entire tactic? Or if you plain dont like my tactics tell me why.

Otherwise other comments :D

I spose all thats left is KILL, MAIM, BURN?

Ok good point, i missed that. Dropped the mark of khorne, Warptime > 1 Attack.

Thanks for pointing that out :)

Sorry if i come across as arogant + stuck up. its 1:27 AM and really aggy about this list. I feel like its good, but im waiting for when someone juts in a rips it apart lol. :D

first off Obliterators arnt fluffy for khorne so i put defilers in and second zerkers cant take Melta guns so i took them out. you had enough points for another defilar so i added it

It might be lacking in anti tank. Depends what you play against. But really your strategy comes down to putting a ton of really efficient units on the table and using them how you are supposed to. Its difficult to criticize.

A daemon prince with warptime and wings is solid but not as good as just about every other daemon prince build your going to see. I'm a big fan of Chaos Lords in Khorne lists. They can ride with Bezerkers and give that party a ton of attacks. Lord, MoK, Pair of Claws. Everyone else will tell you to stick with the daemon prince so they are probably right.

Papercut, i did say that i wasnt hellbent on it being 100% Fluffy, obliterators i find are just irreplaceable, but a valid move to change them, the truth is is hesitant to get rid of them because i have 4 oblit models, and only 1 defiler, trying to spend as little as i can! XD
And also i dont have enough points for the extra defiler, you miscalced the KB units.

Hungry; I know Khorne lords are good, i'll look into them more when i wake up tomorrow, the main reason i instantly said DP, is because i have the model, i know how to use them well. I'll wait for another opinion on the DP, you may well be right, but DP's are hard to get better than, because they're pretty damn good! :p

I see your point with the anti-tank issue, i missed that melta guns can't be put on them, 2am is my tactical excuse ;). But yes, now im left with that hole to fill. Would 2 Obliterators not punch a hole in some kind of tank,

-not to mention my Daemon prince has a bad habbit of jumping on tanks, ripping a hole into the back armour, pulling out anyone inside, slaughtering them and chopping their bodies in twain, and blowing the tank up(I LOVE 5+s)
Thats pretty good anti-tank. :D Ignore my sick sense of humour, i'm a funny lass.

This is my 1500 point fluffy list and it actually does really well. You could drop MoK from the Daemon Prince and a Powerfist somewhere to give him Warptime which you seem to favour... I wouldn't get rid of the obliterators they are too useful and I dont see why Lord Khorne would frown upon their use either...

Overall your list LOOKS more effective, my only problem is, i'd feel like it was Kharnicide if i had him in a rhino. The land raider with EA is so much more secure, and could take the fire that it's goign to receive BECAUSE it has Kharn in it.

I am reluctant to buying another Defiler, unless it will really make the difference. :S

Kharn isnt going to die without a fight trust me.

I cant believe i got the math wrong again. i give up. i am never going to make a list again

Sorry my maths were wrong when you quoted me and you quoted me before I could readjust so just take a quick look at my list again.

About the Defiler I got two when I first started my army so I tend to use them both alot. Thing is when you have two of them one generally lives long enough to bring weapons to bare...

Try this for a fun tactic though in an annihialation game..

Make a Rhino spearhead with Kharn in the rear Rhino and put your Defilers on the flank...

Move everything forward full speed and pop smoke on it all... Watch and laugh as your opponent cant decide what to shoot at... Then rush everything at their line and giggle maniacally...

If thats not Khorne fluffy I dont know what is :)

Just go with something like...

Kharn.
8 Berzerkers with Champ with PF.
Mounted in LR with DP.

8 Berzerkers with Champ with PF mounted in Rhino with EA.

8 Berzerkers with Champ with PF mounted in Rhino with EA.

Daemon Prince only if you feel like it.

Fill in the rest of the points with your Oblits.

Never run DP on Rhino's, only EA.

Never run EA on Land Raiders, only DP.
Tis true as a general rule and in this case the 15 points would be better spent making one of the 7 in Kharns unit a champion.. I put it on there because I couldn't see anything else to spend points on but as I was typing that exact thing in reply I remembered removing the champion from the 3rd zerker squad..

Do not go without Extra Armour though.. You dont want your Rhinos stopping short leaving your zerkers in the open...

Just the thought of that made me wet myself.

I am trying to think what i'd do rofl, but laughing so much.

2 defilers one direction , A daemon prince flying in straight, or 3 Rhino's full of KB's and Kharn. What ever you choose, there shall be blood spilt.

This has made me consider the extra £20 to try and find to do, rofl.

if i get another Defiler, another box of khorne 'Zerks and another Rhino, that will give me all the models i need. :)

37.5+20+20 i guess = 77.5, should be ok :D

DEFILERS ARE A PAIN TO CARRY THO!!!

I have a sturdy shoe box to carry my defilers as even my KR multicase doesnt like them.. My other army is Tyranids and it is stocked full of flipping MCs so I cant win..

As for your daemon prince sit him behind the rhinos and leap frog them when he is in range...

Just so evil :D

I have many a shoe box, which i carry everything around in lol, was going to get a good case for everything, but that has to wait, small fortune to spend on my beloved Khorne first! Besides, every model is plastic, par the 2 Hq's, i'm sure i can find some tissue paper somewhere :D
