i want to do a space wolves list but i want something different about them, i was thinking of adding bits of CSM range to make them look like they got lost in the warp and have to take CSM armour, guns and weapons to live. (there would be fluff and stuff but i haven't done that yet cause i'm not sure if it's a good idea.)

well this work? or will people tell me to go away and get a real army etc?

but is the 13th company a legal list? 'cause i heard that it's not due to the 13th company being from the eye of terror.

I'm not 100% sure if the 13th company is a legal list to use in tournaments at this time, it being a list created for the Eye of Terror campaign.

But you could always model your Space Wolves after the 13th company and use the normal list, or use the 13th company list depending on if your opponent is okay with that. (It's a GW created army list so I don't see why anyone would).

And I don't think anyone is going to tell you to get a real army. Customized models would make an army more unique, and therefore more fun to play against, imho.

And since the 13th company list is available for download (last time I checked), using it could be seen as more legit than using the out of print Space Wolves.

13th Company is as Legal as Lost and the Damned. (if that helps).

i always persued the ideo of a 13th company army mainly because the wulfen look really good imo.

in fact i still think about starting a wolf army somtetimes there my favourite SM chapter but i dont like the fact the codex has been out to long i want NEW haa

Well, now they have that datafax for the 13th, but more over i heard that the lost+the damned was no longer legal?

No, with the release of C:CSM, LoTD is no longer a viable army. Only traitor guard and CSM with crappy "lesser demons". But until C: SW comes out, 13th Company is still a recognized army.

I've started a Wolf army and am painting them in 13th colors, I also have 10 Wolfen and they can still be added in Apocolypse games. (GW put out data sheets just for this)

I read that the 13th Company was allowed in the 2007 GW grand tournament. Sounds fully legal to me...

You could proxy the Wulfen as Wolf guard, and the other models easily can represent the others - Grey Hunters for the others (forget name), Storm Claws for the Wolf Claws etc.
