I was going to update the older thread wit hthis, but the pics have disappeared for some reason and I forget where I was hosting them. ^^;

Anyway, the contest is over, and my gargantual creature conversion placed second behind a monster of a super heavy tank made using that giant aquila cannon thing. Nonetheless, I am now free to paint, and so I have begun. I did my best to smooth out the greenstuff on some of the joints, it's still a little rough in parts but good enough for me.

Here is the unpainted model to refresh your memory:

Then after a black undercoat, I picked out the most common colour. All my armour plating and the majority colour on my canoptek robots is turquoise, so like them I started with a several layer basecoat of Sotek Green.

After this was the painful part, picking out the metal without getting it on the armour was a bit of a shit at times, but on the whole I managed.

This was about all the patience I had for this thing in one go, so this is where it has stopped. Hopefully I can get some more onto it in a week or so. :victory:

How is it look?

It looks awesome. Keep it up!!
Nice job there, certainly something different.
Ahhhh, was wondering what had happened to this, nice to see it getting painted.

Any pictures of that tank which won?

Yea, this beast.

Dear merciful god, thats not a tank..... Thats just hideously beautiful and monstrous.
MOAR GUNZ!! :crazy:

It's awesome, but kinda bulky and stupid to me...though I think that about a lot of the big Imperial war machines. In game that would be allowed to pivot on the spot?? :laugh:

Still a fan of this Necron concoction more.
