Death is not the end, but the beginning.
Time for my short story:
My eyes flash open... blinking wildly I look around; I'm still in the trench, looking down at my legs I grip my left shin; taking deep breaths.
"I'm still alive? Didn't that shell go off beside me?" I slowly climb to my feet still dazed from the shock I search around in the darkness of the bloody trench for a weapon until I find a Lasgun Bayonet fixed... I whisper a prayer of thanks to the Emperor and look over the 'top'; two soldiers run behind me shouting like wild men.. we are the Front Line we just lost the forward position, Fix Bayonets!
I Tighten the Bayonet; Back into the fire, its time to repay the favor.
As I climb over the 'top' and begin my charge with my brothers; I give my last cry: "Our Bayonets will run with Crimson! No retreat, No Mercy! WE ARE THE LEGION!" - Lcpl.A.Jacobs 132nd Steel Legion.
