How can you avoid them?!

I keep playign with the ratio of thinning my paints, i think now the only problem is how many brush marks you can see.

Every layer is uneven-darker in some, lighter in others-- andfull of brush marks!

What methods are you guys using to get crisp paint layers like this?!:

It comes as a result of doing quite a few layers Anph. If you are going over a black basecoat with red say, you will need to do 3-4 very thin coats to even it up like that. The mini you posted a link here was most certainly NOT painted quickly. Doesn't take forever either but not quick.

Are you moving in different directions for each layer? if you continually draw your brush in the same general direction, you'll get ruts, ridges etc.

Okay, good.

I had my layer dry, it looks marginally better and was hoping that another layer would help. Thanks for the assurance.

And now i understand the different strokes someone posted (sorry! cant remember who!)

You said up down left right horizontal up my ass etc. I guess a different one for each LAYER.
