Personally I've always used the GW brushes from the old red ones, right up to the new black ones, never had any problems with them. I've tried cheaper alternatives, and they just aren't as good for various reasons such as not holding a point etc. and the more expensive ones.. well, frankly they're just more expensive versions of the same brush that GW does in my opinion.
