This Is my attempt at a decent of angels list. My list is flexible and I welcome all discussion..

HQ
Dante
The sanguinor
500 points
Elite
Sanguinary Priest - jump pack power weapon infernus pistol

Sanguine guard - power fist
Assualt squad - 10 units 2x melta guns hand flamer
940 points

I know this leaves me with some points to play around with. Like I said I'm willing to change things around as this is my first real army I will be playing with. I used the assualt squards in hopes to fox the flaw of low unit count before anyone asks.

Sanguinor can't join units and costs a redonkulous amount. Go for a Librarian instead. Psychic Defense and utility powers like Blood Lance and Shield of Sanguinius are extremely useful.

Sangy Guard are handy, but they will suffer with AP2 junk, hence the need for Shield of Sanguinius.

Vanguard are an excellent addition to your army. You can DS in and pop tanks with melta, but that leaves you open to a potential counter attack. VV can drop in and charge what comes out, keeping them from turning your SG into a fine red mist.

I am not a blood angels player but it doesn't matter what army you play 500 points is way to damn much for HQs.

A Jump Pack Epistolary will only cost you 175 points. Since the Sanguinor costs a butt load more you've now got those plus your other unspent points to field a good VAS. And just to be clear, VV are what the smurfs call their [airquotes]"veterans"[/airquotes] with Jump Packs. We know better and ours are VETERAN ASSAULT SQUADS, or VAS to their friends.:so_happy:

I'd spread the IPs out amongst your 3 SG squads so you don't have one incapable of shooting tanks. And the other two will gain a smidgen of AP firepower before they charge. Though honestly you've got a bit of Infernus Pistol overload. Spending 120 points on guns with a 6" range is a bit excessive. For the cost of one all three of your Priests could have Melta Bombs.

Are you set on pure infantry or will you add vehicles? And if you keep the Sanguinor give the RAS Sergeant something that will allow him to take advantage of the Blessing and add a Furioso Librarian for psy power.

For SG, I like the 2 infernus and PF set up. Relatively cheap and versatile. Infernus are short ranged, but if it's all you have it's all you have.

Vanguard I like set up with a couple storm shields, a TH and some LCs. They're pricey, but they can take a punch and dish out plenty of damage themselves. A great anvil to deal with units your SG don't like (TH/SS Terms, MCs, etc).

I would rather not use vehicles for if I did they would just be a big target before all my stuff dropped from the sky, plus that is the main reason I picked ba is because I like the whole angel feel. but if you have any ideas id like to hear them. Also do you think I should run 3 priest or drop it to two?
