Recently, our Eldar player switched over to playing Blood Angels. But not ANY Blood Angels- These angels were assembled and painted by his cousin, who passed away several years ago. My buddy finally decided to dust them off when the new codex was released. Sadly, the army is at least 2 codexes out of date, so I decided to help him a bit by painting up some new guys for the force. And, of course, they had to match the paint scheme his cousin had created... So without further preamble, here's the Librarian Dread I assembled for him, along with a Veteran Sarge with power sword and plasma pistol...

The large flat areas of black on the dread are purposefully left unhighlighted, as that's how the cousin did his black... The sarge's powersword is actually a Skaven speartip I had lying around, while the hands and sword of the dread are from an Eldar Wraithlord. I decided to use more "dextrous" hands as the Librarian would need finer motor control for his psychic abilities as opposed to the standard claw fist.

nice story Den, personally id rather use the Ven dread's hand instead of the claw...

other than that its a good show of friendship...best of luck to the guy

The "new" BA player was quite pleased with it when I gave it to him, so I guess mission accomplished. :victory:
