I'd say keep the black. People know it's not templar cause of the GK models, so it's easy enough. Don't highlight too far though. Go Black -> Black+Adeptus Battlegrey -> Adeptus. Don't go further.
For the trim, I'd suggest a really bright silver outlined with gold. Base the trim with Tin Bitz, then some Dwarf Bronze. Then Highlight with chainmail and then Mithril Silver.


Just an idea, but I reckon it would look good. Maybe try it?

If you want your Grey Knight to stand out from the crowd, keep the black, I say. They're definately not templar.

But yeah, Be different. My Grey Knights are gonna be a marooney Terracotta with logos in White. If that doesn't work out, Do you mind if I steal this scheme? I actually really like the black on GK.
