i heard today that there have been some major changes in the WH world events team, including Andy Joyce, the preious WH World events manager being made redundant as well as some members of his team. New blood is bring bought in and people organising events at wh world have been warned that they will no longer be able to book as many times as they currently do due to the changes to the events calender that they intend.

If the department was to be made obsolete and the staff were to be made redundant then the company would have an obligation to either find them suitable alternative employment within the company or pay them off.it would be illegal to make a members of staff redundant and bring in "new blood",if GW were making people redundant and replacing them they would be automatically guilty of wrongful dismissal under UK employment law, it would be a cake walk for the staff involved if they took it to a tribunal. If a member of staff is performing poorly you cannot use redundancy as a method to get rid of them, the standard disciplinary procedures have to be applied and followed.

GW loves to move people around from what i gather, modellers becoming editors, rules writers becoming authors, and so on.....

So they are now prob just working in a different dept.
