does anyone know of any place in the UK where you can get 1:1500th (or as close to) scale modern aircraft?, as I want an alternative to the GW fighters and the idea of painting up some F-14's as fighters using macross/robotech colors.

and does anyone know of a good scaled model of the macross/robotech SDF-1 suitable for BFG, or even if one exists in a suitable scale.

from my experience its impossible to get something usable in that scale. the only thing close that i know are some models from exodus wars. they are 6mm epic scale but those khazari kamikazi droid swarms work quite nice as spacecraft ordnance. but they're still a bit big to be suiatable as fighters. i use them as assault craft exclusively.

well I found a couple of UK places that do smaller than the scale I wanted, but there practically impossible to order from since you add them to a cart, fill in an order form by paper, post that, wait for a confirmation to be posted back then wait for the models, which is stupid.

so I settled for these as fighters instead

ah.. i nearly forgot about brigade.. yes of course they are nice, although a bit oversized for bfg.
will you separate them and stick them on own rods modelwise or will you use them as they are?

not sure yet, I'll wait and see once I get them since I have no idea what there gonna be like, I would prefer to just glue 3 down in a sort of triangle pattern on to the 25mm side of some modular warhammer movement tray I have laying around cut up into squares.

ok. take some pictures with cruisers for size comparison then (once you received and mounted them, of course) and post them. i would be interessted..
