well back when i collected wood elves i was doin the begginer sundays with ma mate and i lost a a bet so it was me and 2 squads (16 each squad) of archers wood elf mage vs 2 chaos mount units 1 chaos chariot 1 chaos militia squad 1 chaos warriors squad and orc warrior sqauds 2 of em and orc chariots. so out numbered i managed to get a decent spell for my wood elf mage from tht day on she's named the log lady you find out why in a bit. so first shooting phase all of my archers hit and wounded killing nearly all the chaos mounts and my wood elf mage used her magic to make a tree attack orc chariot so orc chariot flees for some reason taking the chaos chariot with it off into the abyss so there now of ouf the game another shooting phase alowed me to take out the rest of the chaos mounts and half the chaos warriors. wood elf mage finished em off with her log throwing ability. so now to the end i managed to kill all of the opponents with no losses.

now for 40k 16 zerkers and a champion charge 35 members of the imperial forces and i manage to kill them all in 1 combat phase :shok: :biggrin:

Had a game with My 2000pt Tau list vs a friends LatD. Over by turn 2 with all Latd units either dead to a man or fleeing. Was unreal. Rolled first turn and because of the way he set up his army (very very poor deployment) I cored his army with one shot. Broadsides fired into a Hellhound which failed its Concealment roll and scored a Penetrating roll of 6 with a full 6" explosion from the hull of the vehicle. Took out an Obliterator, 7 chaos marines, and something on the order of 25-30 traitors including the heavy weapons platforms they had with them. He had everything packed in around that tank for some reason. Railhead killed off his Leman Russ in that round as well so all he had for heavy shooting was a Basilisk and a couple sentinels. The units that weren't killed outright by the blast of the Hellhound broke and ran off the table without firing a shot.

Like I said, absolutely unreal.

i have a few single unit stories where something amazing happened. but my best battle was an average battle, 900pts of marine vs 1045pts necrons. SM lost one man, the standard bearer. the necrons lost everything. didnt even get to phase out :victory:

My favorite moment where one of my guys shined, even though I didn't win outright (was a tie) was when my Broodlord got in combat with my friends bikes, and then before I knew it my BL was utterly surrounded by units. There were literally three units in combat with it, and the BL made his saves and proceeded to dodge power weapon after power weapon, while dealing out wounds on model after model.

I love my Broodlord. ;D

he beat me at fantasy when i first started, i used my brets for the first time ever, forgot to pray, did really shit basically. he never let it go.

so we started a new fantasy campaign, and i took my new bret army to meet his empire, and i crushed him. that was fun. not looking forward to a rematch mind.

they took eachother out, and i unded up winning, losing only

Well if we're bragging...

My 3rd edition Alaitoc force had a pretty good record. Over a few years of tournament play I got a few regional tournament wins, was joint best general and 2nd overall at a GT final (back when they used to give points for sportsmanship and stuff, bah) and got copied by loads of people who downloaded my list. My eldar have still never failed to massacre (victorious slaughter, whatever) a space marine army of any description.

Probably their coolest win was when I played an ork army with well over 200 figures (though admittedly 90 or more were gretchin) and wiped it out. I was outnumbered something like 5 or 6 to 1. 8 flamers and 12 striking scorpions did most of the work. Also it worked well to mind war a slaver and then tank shock the remaining gretchin the following turn.

I think I was successful because I had an army not many people used at the time. I'd often have to explain what my ranger disruption did, for example. It tended to mean that the other guy's plan got messed up quite badly, with key units in reserve or pinned at the start, and there was no way back.

I think it was a campaign where I wiped out a 3000pt army to the last man using a 1500 pt army of SM and 30 Kytharin Shock Troopers (Count as SM Tactical). Deep strike vs. CSM. Muhahahahahhaha!

Two games, both in local tourneys....

1st. - Playing against Vanilla Space Marines with a very capable commander and a near perfect army list. What it all boils down to is this... In turn 6, my Storm Troopers fail to kill a Dreadnought with a Meltagun, so charge in. They manage to roll enough 6's to actually defeat the thing in combat. This is the first time I have ever used Krak Grenades, and it turned a Draw into a Minor Victory by only 1 point.

2nd. - Versing a new Chaos army with a mixed bag of Bugs. His army list took me completely by surprise and was very difficult, even for an army with nearly 60 Stealers. My Flyrant got slapped down hard by Abbadon, and most of my smaller units were destroyed in their element, combat. Still I managed to prevent the Chaos from gaining any objectives in this Alpha level mission. I manage to win the game because I controlled only one objective, to his none. He, on the other hand, had the game by about 1800 VP's. Lucky for me that VP's were not a factor in this scenario.
