Now, I'm probably going to get 'Grey Knights' as the answer for this mostly, but I'd love to get some more suggestions/thoughts on the matter.

I've also heard that HH4 will have Custodes in their list.

But in 40k... What force would you think is best suited for a Legio Custodes army? Grey Knights do seem like the obvious choice. But would another Marine chapter work?

Then, take it one step further. Would you use Terminators? Paladins to make them more elite? Skip Terminators because Custodes don't have them? Would you bother with support vehicles or dreadnoughts?

I'm currently reading Scars, and they suggest that Valdor and Dorn were similar in size, but Custodes never had a Primarch... were they all that monstrous? Should I stick with all Termie-sized models?

Thoughts are appreciated!

While I admit they're gorgeous models, I can think of three or four places that create models for custodes already. But are those 28mm bases? 40mm? Would they be terminators? PA-size?

Again, I was looking at rules stuff more than model options.

Yeah, as I said, no real comparable list exists. As for representing termies, I'd count all custodes as termies, or at least master crafted armour considering all their suits of armour are a step above the average SMs. Maybe a GK termie list, but give them all +1 to WS, S, T, W, A, LD10, I5, with halberd and storm bolter.

All that is only going on the fluff though.
