Hey guys,

been an AM player for a while and was looking to get some allies for them. I already own a little bit of space wolves and grey knights and wanted to know which of these two would make the best allies for guards.

I am asking because they both have new codexes but i do not want to buy them both right now....I am looking to put some pressure on my opponents while my guards shoot...I have to admit that dreadknights are tempting now that they are cheaper (apparently) but i am also tempted by thunderwolves and drop pods.

any opinions would be appreciated.....

if you have a better idea for allies (excluding imperial knights) I am all ears.

not at all, it is also for fluff reasons, to expand my collection. That being said, I would like to have stuff that works well together, I do not like buying Dust collectors...

Honestly either choice of SW or GK or pretty much any SM variation would work. I would say pic the ally you think you would enjoy painting.

Space wolves would be the logical choice for fluff reasons.

Unless you want to repaint your entire IG army after every battle with GK.
