I am starting a new chaos army. This is what i hve, i would appreciate some advice on what to add

10 chaos space marines- champion w/ pw nd plasma pistol and marines with close combat weapons

9 marines- Close combat weapons, champion w/ pfist

8 marines - bolters, heavy bolter plasma gun

Lord- Power weapon, mark of knorne

If you want powerful units I would say get any of the following:

Defiler - has big artillery

Obliterators - can make laser cannons

Chaos Terminators - a bargain at 30 points

giving them icons or taking sau khorne berzerkers will help you if you want theme your army or maybe they could just be whatever you like!

oh and personaly try and stay away from plasma pistols.

BTW, all marines have bolters and close combat weapons. Say, in a turn you shot the bolters in a rapid fire distance. Next turn, you move 6", shoot, assult, and each have 3 attacks. One base, One charge. One close combat weapon.
