So this is something I've wanted to do for a long time. I don't really have a definitive plan in mind, so at this point I'm just winging it.
Plastic Banshees.
This is what I have so far. An exarch and a banshee made almost entirely from the Dire Avenger's kit. The executioner is made by replacing the power weapon's blade wit hthe diresword, then placing the original blade on the reverse end. One of the dual Avenger catapults became her pistol and I chose the leg set that was leaning the most to one side so emphasize that she's an acrobatic fighter.
The other banshee is simpler, it's just the catapult shaved of its scope, the barrel shortened and then the arm glued outward instead of forward. The sword is a spare from the wraithblade kit (they're better with axes anyway) with thehand cut out and the extra piece of grip re glued to the base of the blade. The avenger's second arm was then snipped off at the hand, the hand then twisted, shaved and glued into a better position to hold the sword.
It's early stages, and I don't know how much versatility this method will give me with poses, but I think there's enough potential for the idea to work. The next hurdle will be finding suitable heads. At this stage I'm thinking Dark Eldar Scourges but I am open to suggestions. Thoughts?
