So, I'm getting back into the swing of things and a bit new to Orks. I've received quite a few to get me going but I need a little direction. So far I'm looking at:

HQ
Warboss - PK, BP, CB, bike
Bigmek - KFF

Elites
Lootas x10 - Mek Big Shoota, oiler x1

Troops
Nob - PK, BP
Boyz x25 - shootas

Nob - PK, BP
Boyz x24 - slugga/choppa

Runtherder x1
Gretchins x19

Fast Attack
Warbike Nob - PK, BP
Warbike x4

Warboss hanging out with the bikes and flanking, the Big Mek helping out over the troops, and the Lootas doing their thing for anti-tank etc...

It seems small to me, but rolls in at 998 pts...

You should max out your boy mobs and bump them up to 30. Also just a note most will tell you all walking boyz should be shootas…

To get more boyz drop your Lootas down to 8, lose the Mek first and also lose the oiler(you ment ammo runt right?) Lootas are great but @ 1000 pnts 10 eats up a lot of you’re pool, the ammo runt is not needed because rerolling one missed shot is not really that important when you can get between 8 and 24 shoots a turn, and the mek just cann't match the fire power of the other lootas.

And then to free up the remaining points I think losing a Warbike should be enough, as your army stand your bike mob is really your most reliable way to crack av13 and only way to crack av14 and as such the only models that really matter are the Warboss and the nob, the other bikes are really just extra wounds.

So after some tweaking this is what I'm coming up with:

Would it be necessary for the Nob on bike to carry a bosspole if the Warboss is already carrying? If not the points would go back to making it a full load of 19 gretchin.

I'm not sure on your bikes mate. Really you want them to be hitting the enemy roughly at the same time, your bikes are going to zoom ahead and likely get fucked.

I prefer Sluggas to shootas personally. I find their BS of 2 earns me less kills than if I let them keep their sluggas and choppas and get the +1A per ork. Of course if they do hit, it will be an advantage.

If they're used as a flanking unit I'm figuring them getting into the fray a move early if not at the same time as the sloggin' ones. But another option is to reduce the unit sizes and go the battlewagon route like so:

Your total came out to 1018 pts. I would drop the Big Mek Biker and the ram then get more Lootas, a Deff Rolla, and armour plates. Be careful with your bikes. They're only good at range. The first list is the "What I have" list. The second list is what I run at 1000. Good luck. :eek:k:
