I have finally started working on 40k again. Been out of it for a couple of years, actually been playing nearly 5000hrs of Arma3, getting divorced and buying and setting up my own place, all while still working in the shithole that is Papua New Guinea. However I have finally started getting back into modelling. The issue was that I turned 40 and my eyesight went practically overnight. Now I need to paint and convert under a magnifier. I still have the same project log underway and I still have over 600 miniatures painted. But I have a titan and at least 70 models unbuilt. So I have something to go on with. It is good to be back.

Did the divorce have anything to do with the 5000 hours of ARMA3?

That is a fair question Kharn, but no. That came after. Working in PNG for 7 weeks at a time is where I used to do my modelling and converting. When my close vision went I bought myself a monster desktop and started gaming with a vengeance. 5000 hrs of arma was the result.

What's been going on in the intervening years?

For me a couple of years getting life sorted. Divorce is divorce. It sucks for everyone, but it gives you an opportunity to rationalise things. Bought and furnished my new place, set it up with just me and the kids in mind Very happy. Other than that, just continued working, and working and working...... And playing Arma3, because going out and seeing the sights in png will get you killed or injured.
