would it be a competitve list at all (its hard for me to judge as i have a Vulkan melta spam list)

comes to exactly 2500pts, 15kps, 6 scoring units, 7 land raiders:laugh:

Tactics would change depending on enemy but basics redeemers go try to burn stuff out of objectives(maybe even ds but thats pretty risky) 3 raiders pop everything that can hurt them. Crusaders try and stay on objectives and keep things off them, whirlwind is there as i couldnt think of anythin else for the points and could still hurt something, decent range and can just hide in cover or behind a raider

i can think of something else other than the Wirlwind. If you can make 10pts somewhere add in another Libby. and give him Shield too. You can then keep your libby Raiders clsoer together and then have alot of your force with a 5+ cover save.
I love it tho as it's made of chessey chesse.

drop the honour guard for an elite DH inquisitor, give him a Land Raider dedicated transport. Drop the Whirlwind and you now have like 200 points to play around with.

If you really want to go nuts drop the 6 Assault Marine squads to a Redeemer with no upgrades, take a Libby, and then 1 DH Inq with Land Raider (and 1 henchman) as well as 1 WH Inq with Land Raider + henchman.

Pretty sure that still fits, and voila, 8 land raiders! You'd even have 18 points left.

Only one problem...How many meltas can people take at 2500 points? And a couple of MCs would really spoil the day.

And more importantly...how the hell would you carry this around? lmao

i have to say i would love to go up agianst it with my spearhead army. The only thing that isn't a tank are Fire Dragons and even then almost everything has a Bright Lance

The new list looks much better and should do well....proving your oppoents doesn't run lots of Melta and Lance weapons.
