WHY PLAY THE UNITY BATTLEFORCE?
The Forces of the Unity is made up of many parts, the Colonials, brave human colonists of a long forgotten expansion, the Naaghrim, notorious (and rightly so) alien corsairs turned mercenaries for hire, Wulfen, the savage warriors of an ancient origin, and the Anzirai, peaceful guardians of their homeworld, forced by war to fight to defend their freedom.
A Unity battleforce’s characteristics are somewhere in between that of the Space Marines, and the Imperial Guard, with slightly better saves than the Imperial Guardsmen, and with somewhat more advanced technologies than the Empire of Man can boast. As a result, the forces of the Unity are a hardened opponent that seeks to bring their own brand of freedom to the universe at large.
The Unities tactical skill is backed up by some of the most advanced technology humanity can boast, from the impassible personal force shield technology of the Anzirai, to the devastating power of the Firestorm Rifle, Cerberus shock battle tank, Predator cannons and Starfury missile launchers. In no other place in the Warhammer 40,000 universe will you find an army so prepared to take on the forces of the Imperium.
RACES OF THE UNITY
The following are the major races of the Unity:
The following are the major races of the Unity:
Human Colonists: Arrived on an ancient Colony Ship at Terra Nova Unites (New Earth), survived a confrontation with the Wulfen and Established an United Kingdom with them. Early on they grew friendships with Eldar, and had trade dealings with both them and the Tau. They tolerate the Naaghrim, whom they see as criminal miscreants for the most part, and are close allies with the Anzirai and Wulfen. Will be using several models from several companies for these, one of which (Tactical Infantry at least is going to be the Greatcoat Shock Troopers from Wargames Factory, I will probably build my own grav-tanks
The Naaghrim: An alien race that once traveled in massive craftworld like ships throughout the galaxy. At some point they settled on Lenova. They are a rough and tumble sort of race that I am going to use the Chartonids from Infinity to portray (miniature wise). One of which is a unique character, Valatar Creeg, a former Space Pirate who joined the Unity Forces for profit.
The Anzirai: An alien race of psykers which use Force Blades (using another Infinity Model). Only one of which is found in the Unity Forces. Her name is Asaara Vhen, she is wanted by the Inquisition, and has joined the Forces of the Unity as a way of protecting her people from them. Anzirai themselves are normally a pacifistic race.
The Wulfen: (I believe I will use the Wolfen of Ylia models from Confrontation) seeded by the Old Ones (Slaan?) the Wulfen are related to Wolves. They are a savage race recruited by their Human compatriots for their bravery and close-combat abilities

Relic Bearers are part of the Unity priesthood. Typically equiped with Unisoldier Body Armor, and a Relic Blade and Personal Force Shield.
Confessor: Another of the Unity priesthood members, confessors are powerful psykers who can stir the terror that lurks within the Unity's enemies and drive even the most stout of foes from the battlefield.
Techsavant: Half man, half machine, the Techsavant is the master of Unity Technology. They are the head of the R&D department, and as such are often equiped with a wide array of prototype weapons and equipment. They are incharge of Cybernetic Research, and are responsible for implanting devices into the bodies of the Unity soldiers.

ELITES
Bloodthirsty Warriors: Honed by years of warrior life, the Wulfen Bloodthirsty Warriors are a harsh and violent assault force. Equiped for hand-to-hand combat, they are ill suited for anything else.
Ghost Warriors: The elite snipers of the Unity Battleforce, Ghost Warriors are trained psykers with powers that allow them to shroud themselves from the enemies sight.
'Hades' Armored Infantry Team: Slow, lumbering warriors with powerful powered armor suits. They excel at ranged combat, but are weaker when closed in hand-to-hand combat.
Mercenary Soldiers: Former pirates, corsairs, and brigands, these Naaghrim warriors are fearless, and stout warriors on the battlefield. Armed with both hand-to-hand and medium ranged plasma weapons they are notorious for doing things "their own way".
Palace Guardians:The Palace Guardians are an elite unit of Anzirai, that rarely take the battlefield, they have psyker powers.
Tethyrian Rangers: While all of the troops that call Tethyr their homeworld are tough, heroic warriors, those that make up the 1st and 2nd Rangers division are the best of the best. They are a lightly armed and armored unit that is used best to infiltrate an enemy's lines and send back useful targeting data. Tethyrian rangers count as a scoring unit.

Cyber-K-9 Squads: A kennel-master and four to nine cyber-mastifs (robotic dogs) make up this rare, and unique unit.

'Cerberus' Shock Battle Tank: A sleak and elegant weapon of war, the 'Cerberus' battle tank is awesome in its power, and mighty in its toughness. ARCLANCE
Arclances release a terrific burst of electrical energy when they strike an opponent. These weapons are often wielded by Draconian Riders in unison with power shields, combining the immense power of this weapons offensive capabilities with the invulnerability of the shields defensive strength. Arclances use the same rules as a Thunder Hammer (see the Assault Phase chapter of the Warhammer 40,000 rulebook, page 42, for more details).

ASSAULT PISTOL
An Assault Pistol resembles a pistol-like version of a Predator Assault Cannon. This weapon is capable of unleashing a burst of bullets without sacrificing the mobility of its wielder, enabling the bearer to charge headlong into the fray, firing on his foes as he advances.

BANESWORD
Baneswords are two-handed swords sheathed in an armor-sundering force field. Rewards for valorous combat actions, these swords are typically reserved for Unity troopers with a long and honorable record of service to the Greater Good. A Banesword counts as a power weapon whose hits are resolved at Strength 6 and always allows its wielder to re-roll for any failed roll to wound. Due to its greater size and weight, a model wielding a Banesword cannot gain an extra attack for an additional close combat weapon.
RELIC WEAPONS
Forged long ago during the Unification Wars, these weapons are reserved for the Relic Bearers, or for the most valorous of Unity Heroes. Most often a sword or a hammer these weapons count as a power weapon whose hits are resolved as a Banesword, except that they also allow for a re-roll for any failed roll to hit.
