As the title says I need to know if Valkyries count as dedicated transports, or whether they're just fast attack?

Fast Attack, unless you play IA8 Elysians.

Not a dedicated transport (unless using the IA lists), just a FA choice with Transport option.

yep fast attack choice, so in games of apoc, when your useing 2 or more diferent armys, you can stick a squad of SM's/ sisters or what you like in there. or in the case of a joint doubles game i played where me and my partner made a 1500pt force useing a single FOC, but with 2 codex's (IG and sm), he provided the troops and hq, and i provided the tanks and fast attack to take a unit of marines in
