Well, my club (in the Hunter valley) is holding our normal doubles tourney in two weeks. It's normally held in June. We hold a 40k 2000pt (Battle in the vines - had 50 players this year) tourney in the first part of the year (normally April, but will be the first weekend of MAY from next year) and a Fantasy (1500pt) in the latter half of the year).

A 40K Doubles Tournament

Sunday 20 June 2010

Shiraz Room,
Cessnock Rugby League Supporters Club (You do have to drive to Cessnock as buses are scarce on Sundays and there is NO train service). That said, we do have several Central coast and Newcastle players participating.

Registration from 9.00am

For this tournament each person will field a balanced 750 point army,
i.e. 1500 points per pair.
You can have 750 points each of the same army or different armies.
Each 750 point army must have a MINIMUM of 1 HQ 1 troops.
You can use any Codex released up to 1 June 2010
Special characters can be used only if they do NOT require consent.

Composition will be marked by the TO with strict guidelines to ensure an enjoyable day for all and an even chance for the newer players.

Both army lists need to be submitted together.
They are due by Sunday 13 June and should be emailed to
Will: [email protected] or Jan: [email protected]

There will be no painting score. We expect painted armies from experienced players but will accept WYSIWYG from new players.

Sportsmanship will be important and will be marked by your opponents (as a pair) after each game.

There will be 3 games.
Game 1: 9.30 - 11.30
Game 2: 12.00 - 2.00
Game 3: 2.30 - 4.30
Winners announced at 5.00pm

The Supporters Club is open until late so you are welcome to play on.

Match-ups for the first game will be decided by the TO and based, as far as possible, on skill and experience.
Match-ups for subsequent games will be based on battle points.

Missions will be announced on the day and will be taken directly from the 5th Ed Rulebook.

Cost: $10 per player, payable by direct deposit to our account, or pay on the day.

Otherwise, The Outpost at Wallsend (Newcastle) often has events (upstairs at the Military disposals on Cowper Street) and Good Games Gosford does as well (an hour or so by train from Newcastle and a 5 minute walk from the railway station.) usually monthly.
