I'm pretty sure they are. They're releasing all the boxed sets in plastic, which includes heavies and lights, and I think quite a few of the new individual models they'll be releasing will be in plastic too.

If you check out here, they have PDF of future releases, which includes quite a few things marked "plastic". If you read the thread as well, some people think that more things will be plastic than just those marked as such, as they might only be marking "plastic xxxx" on those models that already have a metal equivalent, while new models might be coming out in plastic, but not marked as such.

Hope that helps :)

The page Maddermax has linked to explains the situation perfectly, but yes they will be releasing a lot more plastic stuff in the future, new and old.

Thing I do like about the rereleased plastic kits is that they are not super different from the prior metal version so you don't feel like you have to go buy the new and cooler version. Most of the plastic kits are very close to the metal ones, almost identical in fact. Although I will admit that the plastic Deneghra model from the Cryx set is far nicer than the original, just a better design overall as the original was far too easily broken in several spots.
