They have no genetic enhancements, although bionics are not uncommon and juvenat treatments are used to keep the most experianced soldiers fit enough for battle.

In adition, there might be a suppernatural element to their survivability.

On the tabletop any sister can have an invulnerable save (3++ or 2++). In fluff terms, some believe that this represents litteraly getting shot with a multimelta and emerging unharmed due to divine protection. Some say it represents something far more subtle, like a shot that really should have hit missing by an inch.

Personally, I like the full-on 'your weapons cannot harm me for the Emperor is by my side' explicitly supernatural version, but there is no official ruling.

One thing to note is in the book faith and fire their armour also has some elements fit into it that can be utilized aas weapons and survival equipment.

i think its more because they are women, and as we know they are always right, so if you shot them and they say you missed, then you missed, its just how the universe works.
How right you are if they say the sky is green damn it the sky is green!!! Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned....

gothik,

The Codices for Daemon Hunters and Witch Hunters are available for free on the GW website. Of those, Witch Hunters offers quite a bit of detail on the Sisters' faith-based powers, their wargear, their decorations and emblems, etc. You just need to do a free registration to access it.

This is the link to Codex: Witch Hunters.

You can read about the point of view when the sisters are the "bad guys/girls" in Redemption Corps, if you simply want all you can get on them. :) Then as noted earlier, James Swallow has written a novell on them and is currently making a prequel. :)
