You have no idea how many unfinished models I have lying around :D

In truth, it is only the past 6 months or so that I have started to finish off things. Once I do, THEN I will go get more models and begin my Imperial Guard traitor army.

I have mismatched squads that are unfinished fom ten years ago, right before 3rd edition even came out, LOL. I played eldar back then and just dug them out of storage with the new release. Half painted squads, and the parts are look terrible, as I was a silly teen with impatience for painting.

No, there are plenty of people who do that. I make a point of finishing what I start, whether it be for Warhammer or anything else, but I know I'm an oddball for it.
Amen to that. I hate having unfinished things. As far as painting an army goes, once I get to around 2000 points painted I start to slow down. I like to add new things to make it 2500 points, but slowly as after 2000 points is painted I usually start a brand new army (I hae 6 so far).

I have 3 1/2 painted armies and I've just started two new ones...kinda.
My marines have 2000 points painted. As soon as I get the last 6 man squad, their Razorback, a LST, and a Rhino painted I'll be at 2500.

My Eldar are one warlock and one ranger away from 2500 points painted.

My Chaos has about 3000 points painted but still needs 5 bike riders painted, 4 juggernaut riders painted, and 5 possessed converted and painted.

My Tyranids have about 1500 points painted. I am still struggling with their strategy and build. I don't want to start painting models I'm not going to use. That's how I have two Zoanthropes painted. The models are cool, but their rules suck. I have one lictor painted and am torn between painting another or not using them at all.

My two new armies are my wifes SOB army and my Deathwing. The SOB are just another SOB army and have a lot of detail. The deathwing is a labor of love as I am taking the time to convert every model and paint a lot of extra details on them. Both land raiders will have murals on them. The Terminators will have scroll work painted on them. It's going to be intense. :D

zonthropes are actually pretty good for there points. They worry the enemy as when they hit they have a very good ranged weapon, and they provide reliable synapse. If you have a few MC's with extended carapace it can soon become a nightmare for the opp to kill them all so they have to decide, do i remove the thropes giving synapse? or do i go for the 2 fex'es that shooting be everyturn and stopping my tanks firing, and bearing down on my army.

You are not!

I have in various stages of painting:

7 ork boar riders
10 goblin spider riders
Ork warlord on war wyvern
24 alpha legion cultists
2 chaos predators
8 raptors
8 hounds of khorne
12 kroot

And that doesn't cover the sixty or so models who used to be my first dark angels army but got re-undercoated.

And I almost forgot twenty or so chaos terminators.

I've only ever completed one Necromunda gang, and one 3000pt Imperial Guard army. While I find that quite impressive, and most of my friends do as well, I still quake at the realization that I've only about 14000pts worth (yes, thats 14K) of figs left to paint between the various games and armies I play.

I have many models sitting in their cases and on my desk just waiting to be painted, alas I don't have time to really do much and when I do, I don't seem to want to. I haven't gotten far into the painting/modeling or even the playing aspect of this hobby, but I do know a lot about the lore and models and still enjoy them even if they aren;t done yet or I haven't used them much yet.

I don't want to think about how many models that I have not finished painting. But i go through stages like that where I doing a lot of modeling then I go through a stage of painting everything I can get my hands on.
