I've been wanting to make some Mycetic Spores for a while and have been thinking of some idea's. I was thinking, instead of having something that drops from orbit, have something that tunnels up from underground. This seems to fit in well with the Tyranid army as Trygons, Mawlocs and Raveners all tunnel. Anyway, this got me thinking of one of my favourite monster films "Tremors".

Although this guy would have to be big enough for a Carnifex to come screaming out of. The Lash Whip and Ripper Tentacles would be represented by the big slimy tongues. I'll probably model spikes on it's top carapace (like the carnifex frag spines) to represent Cluster spines or Stinger Salvo's.

This is my work in progress so far. I'm using modelling clay as green stuff would be to expensive for a model this large. I'll probably use green stuff for the tongues though.

The problem with clay although it is air drying it takes about five days to fully dry. It says on the packet, "Non-cracking", on about day two or three of drying big cracks appear, which have to be filled in each time until they stop appearing.
What should I call it Tremorgon, Tremorloc, Tremorfex, Tremorthrope, Derek?
Any feedback would be appreciated. Thank you for reading.
