Ok, so as im going, im learning new things, and the one question i have for the experienced painters today is this;

i am painting ultramarines, and so far it looks good, ive done all the basics, and iv even outlined it. when i look at the box for the space marine tactical squad though, you see that they are highlighted with white, it seems on the edges of their armor but im not exactly sure how to get the best results from doing that

does ayone have any advice?

The 'eavy Metal technique is to blend and then line afterward but I find just lining does the job.

What I mean is with just a little paint on a fine detail brush to simply paint your lines on as the highlights. I go for the simple rule of thumb of highlighting everything above and on the sides but not underneath, so for instance on a square you would paint the 3 sides and leave the bottom side unhighlighted.

For Ultramarines use a 50/50 mix of Ultramarine Blue and Skull White.

yeah. having a tidy model is better than having an over ambitious one.
This is true, but they only way to get better is to practice.

I like your proactive spirirt, PathogEN.
