I have a 2 part question I hope someone can help with.

My primary army is battle forged but I want to bring around 500 points of allies. Does this have to follow the mandatory HQ and Troop slot with the option to bring 1 ELITE/FAST and or HEAVY, or can I bring an unbound allied list, in my case a HQ and 2 heavy support with no troops?

If the answer is yes to the above (I can bring unbound allies), then does my whole army become unbound or just the allied attachment ?

A Battle Forged army MUST fit all detachment rules. Otherwise, you're just throwing together a bunch of squads which include an HQ and some Heavies from group, and some more stuff (including HQ and 2 troops) from another.

So a battle forged main detachment with an unbound allied list makes the main list unbound?
