Okay probably a very dumb question but hey. Can you brush paint with airbrush paints? I'm curious since their are a few vallejo air colours I want that they don't seem to have an equivalent colour of
elsewhere. Other than them being thinner, there isn't much difference right so surely they should be fine for brushing? Plus being naturally thinner it would save in using thinners? Am I way wrong in this. Always been curious.

I use some of the VAC airbrush paints in my brushpainting with no problems. You do have to test them a bit because sometimes the brush application will make the paint have a different finish. I noticed this mainly in the metallic ranges (more sparkly). Other than that, I use the white, and several of the greys fairly regularly.

I think the only difference is the pigment is much finer in airbrush paint, so may need a couple more coats than normal paint, but apart from that should be fine.

Very true. I use my airbrush paints with a brush for things that will require multiple layers, such as skin, and for hightlighting as well.
These are much, much much thinner than regular paints. Definately keep that in mind as layers, layers and layers will be needed.

you can brushpaint with vallejo air paints. Though be advised that the same isn't always true of certain 'effects' liquids that are designed for airbrush. Mig ammo chipping fluid doesn't work as well for example. and i've never seen anyone even attempt to brushpaint with alclads.

Out of interest what colours can you not find in the standard vallejo model colour range? I thought the model air were put together as air versions of the most popular model colours.
