Hi everyone, I'm toying with the idea of a misty moutians army with a dragon, cave drake when it comes out and maybe shelob for moster goodness.

I would like to ask what everyone's experience playing/facing monsters are since i've only played a handfull of matches due to everyone else either not playing lotr or not having enough models for a wotr army.

But my dragon question is this, the dragon has the breathe fire ability which is a shooting attack with 12 inch range at strength 10, but can he cast spells and/or charge in the same turn? it does not say what kind of ranged attack it is (ie, throwing weapon or bow or something else, it's obviously not a bow but he may have to move 1/2 distance to breathe fire), Does anyone if the dragon can cast magic and/or breathe fire and/or charge in a single turn?

Cheers

Is sbg mumakil arn't too hard to kill if you have magic, just transfix the rider every turn until he's out of will, (the commander thing only gets 1 or 2) and then he's paralysed, but monsters are very powerful if you don't have powerful heroes in return, which is why in sbg is spend half my points in heroes for my tournament army, i need them that badly.

My question on dragons refer to war of the ring. In the wotr rulebool it says the breathe fire is a shooting attack but does not say what type of shooting attack or the requirements to use it. Additionally in the magic section it does not say the requirements to use magic other then you use it in the move phase. does that mean the dragon can fly 12, cast spells (like dark fury where i reroll in cc), then breathe fire and then charge! sounds very op. oven worse is that the dragon could cast dark fury for more rerolls in successive turns if it's still engaged in cc since the magic section does not say you can't cast magic if you're in close combat.

If anyone can confirm or disprove any of these ridiculous claims please do so since i want to believe the dragon is that awsome but i'd rather know the extend of its awsomeness.
