Correct

At the top of each thread when youare viewing it is a 'Thread Tools' drop down box where you can choose to subscribe to threads.

Then as Baron Spikey said, in your User Control Panel under Profile Options I believe, you can set it so that you recieve an email upon each new reply to your subscribed threads.
