So i'm going to play my 2nd game of 8th edition (also 2nd game since 5th edition Brettonians) in about a fortnight and i thought i'd post the army list up here for comments and suggestions.
The game will be against Dark Elves

Sword of Battle
-
Flayed Hauberk

Skeleton Warriors x20 (200)
-Standard Bearer
-Musician
-Champion
-Spears

Corps Cart (100)
-Balefire

Dire Wolves x5 (40)

Special

Grave Gaurd x15 (225)
-Standard
-Musician
-Champion
-Great Weapons

So yeah thats it, i would love some comments and some suggestions if you can see some changes to this army that should be made.

Army is a little bit slow. The Wolves will be shot to bits, thus making them redundant.

Skeletons are the same basic points value as a Ghoul. Granted, ghouls do not wear armour, but S+T 4 and poisoned attacks is much better than light armour and a shield.

I see you've gone for a fighting Vampire, so a necromancer would be a good investment.

I personally love Varghulfs and would even try to take on in a game with points as low as this. Simply replacing the graveguard if necessary. But that is personal choice.

That vampire cant wear armor, as he is a wizard without armor options. To be able to wear armor you need to give him Dread Knight or Avatar of death? Cant remember if the second one is right off the top of my head. As Orochi stated, this army is quite slow, and with such low toughness values dark elf shooting will have a field day. Only one vampire bringing back your fallen will also prove to be a problem, though with 2d6 power dice you can just throw cast Invocation of Nehek over and over and over on 2 dice.

Wrong. Lol, sorry but clearly says in the codex "All vampires may be given magic armor". :)

Thanks for the comments so far guys, its weird being a noob to this again after so long.
I'd like to take a necromancer as well but i'm a bit limited with being only able to spend up to 187 points on it.
So my recomendations are ghouls and maybe a vargulf instead so far?
What about Black nights are they a viable option instead of grave gaurd?
The wolves were thrown in really just to get myself a bit of speed originally to get up and destory his bolt thrower then come round and flank.

Any suggestions or even total re-writes are always gladly accepted
