My local GW is holding a "goodbye 7th edition" 750pt tornament and seeing as Ogres were my first 7th edition fantasy army, I thought I might as well end it with them.

(P.S I've read some of the new rule book and Ogres are awesome in 8th ed, so watch this space)

Bruiser
Cathayan Longsword
Wyrdstone Necklace
Greedy Fist 178

3 Ogre Bulls
Additional Hand Weapons
Light Armour
Standard Bearer 146

4 Ironguts
Standard Bearer 212

4 Ironguts
Standard Bearer 212

All C&C welcome like always

ARRGGHHHH... what are those banners doing in a 7th ed ogre list? :p

I would scrub the banners out of all the units, and make sure you guve the bruiser at least 1 luck gnoblar (works best for when trying to eat enemy magic weapons). ALso the light armour on the bulls really isnt doing anything... I can just about see its worth with ironfists but not basic.
All in all if you cut the banners and move the 4th ogres out of the ironguts then you have enough for a whole new unit (bulls, ironguts or even leadbelchers... if you like them) which is what I would do- low point ogre armies fit into 2 molds for me: hoard (just get in as many ogres as you can and laugh) or magical, where you try to get butchers in to pump up the survivability of your units... but at 750 magic isnt really an option.

4 units of bulls/ironguts and a anti-hero bruiser should do you very well in any tourny. I might be tempted by the siegebreaker or tenderiser for the hero to try to counter any beardy git who takes something like a hydra or a steamtank but as is you'll still be very strong.

Yeah, looks good... although I would still drop that banner for a bellower or two- the bulls should probably be used either to win a flank or to draw charges from the enemy, fleeing to set up flank charges by the ironguts. Means a bellower is good for getting them to rally.
A banner on them just means that if you do lose a fight, even by 1 (and if the enemy charges you thats pretty likely) then you'll be likely to break... at which time you've just given away 100VPs to the enemy... when you are playing low pt values the 100VPs here or there from banners, general's death and table quarters really stack up fast. 150pts is all it takes to go from death even to a win... so take care.
