So i finally got my friend's list written down becuase after a crushing defeat last night i could tell he was rather frustrated. I would be two. killing a dreadnaught, 2 rhinos, and three berzerkers before being entirely wiped out would piss me off too. So i told him i'd put the list up here for him and see what you guys could come up with. He thanks you in advance..

Belt of russ, wolf tooth necklace, Wolf Mount, Meltabombs

Troops

2x 5 man squads of grey hunters.
2 Melta guns

Fast Attacks

2 Thunder Wolves
1 frost blade, 1 storm sheid, 2x melta bombs

Heavy support.

5 long fang
1 squad leader, 2 las cannons, 3 heavy bolters.

Your friend has 350 points (like half of the army) tied up in three models! The Wolf Lord and dual TWC is the only real threat this list poses. The Long Fangs a secondary. Target priority is very simple: Kill Lord and TWC, kill long fangs, not much left.

Here's a variant of your friend's list I would field:

HQ) Wolf Guard Battle Leader with: Frost blade, melta bombs 100pts
or
HQ) Rune priest with : Living lightning other power your choice 100pts

Troop) 5 Grey Hunters, melta gun, rhino 115pts

Troop) 5 Grey Hunters, melta gun, rhino 115pts

Troop) 5 Grey Hunters, Flamer 75pts
HS) 6 Long Fangs, 5xmissile launchers 140pts

HS) 6 Long Fangs, 5xmissile launchers 140pts


Elite) 1 Lone wolf, terminator armour, frost blade, melta bombs 60pts
(you can replace Lone wolf with 4 Grey Hunters, adding 2 to each
troop squad in rhinos)
745pts
2 transports, 29(32) models.
If you go with the Rune Priest, have him provide fire support with Long Fangs.
If you go with the Battle Leader, have him in with one of the Grey hunters.

I am hesitant to giving this information to him... I feel my khorne army might not beable to stack up... although i chew threw grey hunters like i tear through cheese cake... hope you guys have more ideas.

Just don't let him get to 2000 or 1.5k. Khorne armies get ripped a new ass hole the size of their back by Thunder wolves.

well only my 750 army is a khorne only list. It seems a bit odd but the legion of woog is at core a khorne army and then branches out the larger the army gets. It'll be nice to see some comp though.
