Looking for any comments on a 750 pure GK list (btw do not need an HQ for my league at this point level):

Squad A
1 x GK Justicar w Melta bomb, and Targeter
5 x PAGK
2 x GK w Incinerator

Squad B
1 x GK Justicar w Melta bomb, and Targeter
5 x PAGK
2 x GK w Psycannon

Heavy
Land Raider w Extra Armor and Smoke

I plan on using the Land Raider to deliver Squad A for shooting/assault. After the LR delivers its payload, it can provide support or tank shock enemies off objectives. Squad B will be a walking unit that will try to hold an objective and use the range/strength of the psycannon to soften up enemy units trying to get closer. Both squads have melta bombs to counter/discourage an enemy tank shock.

Any comments or criticism is much appreciated. Thanks.

i woudn't have a land raider yet, perhaps trade it for some grey knight termies, don't you need an HQ and two troops choiches?
Not yet. The league I am in is not requiring an HQ until 1000 points.

FYI I found some Grey Knight tactic articles out on the Internet. Looks like I am heading towards building a pure GK 'Water' themed army. Thanks for all the input so far.

Follow-up...

Had a 750 game against a Chaos player last week. Dawn of War w Seize Ground and three objectives.

His force was:

Rhino
6 CSM w Icon of Nurgle and Champion

Rhino
6 CSM w Icon of Nurgle and Champion

CSM Dreadnought w CCW loadout

5 CSM Termies w 1 Chainfist and 4 Power Fists.

I pretty much sat in a corner while he drove towards me. Despite my bad rolls, the LR finally immobilized his Dreadnought. My psycannons actually destroyed both Rhinos and forced one squad to walk. My psycannon squad finished off the CSMs on foot the next turn. His termies DS in, and assaulted my LR. I made sure my LR was moving at Cruising speed, and forced 6+ to hit. He got one chainfist hit, but was unable to penetrate the LR.

Turn five I took my LR carrying the 7 PAGKs w 2 Incinerators and drove around what he had left. I parked it on one objective. He had one squad on another objective about 18 inches away, so at the very least it would have been a draw if it ended. Game continued to turn 6. He had nothing that could catch my LR, so I drove at his last scoring unit.

Seven PAGKs jumped out of the LR. After a round of SB and Incinerators, and then an assault (3 PW at Str6, 4 Nemesis at Str6, and 2 Str4) there was nothing left of his last scoring squad (even with Nurgle Icon Str5). I've done the math using the Combat Calculator (best tool ever), and it is amazing. Anyway the game went to seven, but it didn't matter as he could not contest. I think I lost maybe one PAGK the whole game.

The 7 PAGK (5 GKPA w 2 Incinerators) squad is a very impressive/deadly unit. Having the LR drop them on any MEQ (or less) usually results in a complete wipeout in one turn. They pretty much overkill any troop they go after. Against Orks, there are so many wounds that the boys usually fail morale and run away...and get swept.

The only downside so far is that sometimes the PAGK assault is too deadly, and they get caught in the open after wiping out a squad, only to be fired on and destroyed by another unit. I had this happen a few weeks ago against a Tau army that I almost tabled, only to have three Crisis Suits plasma and fusion my last PAGK unit to pieces...doh. It was still a draw, but lesson learned. :)

I am now moving up to 1000 Pts. and am adding another LR and a BC (as we will now follow the normal FOC). It's been fun so far. Thanks for all of the input.

'Water Warrior' is ok...just don't go insisting that Psycannons negate cover Saves like the writer does (or did):headbutt:
