HQ:

Fast Attack:

- Power Weapon

- Plasma Pistol

Dreadnought ...105pts

Not too bad, although, I would be in two minds about the Plasma, I wouldn't fancy using it and losing it... For me (this is a personal thing) I prefer giving it like a CC weapon, and loading it in an assault squad.

Troops:

Scout Squad ...90pts

Tactical Squad ...90pts

I personally feel the tactical squad needs an assault weapon, since the Flamer is free, I would give it that. But I think 10 men as troops will be taken out very quickly, meaning you can't take objectives that easily.

Fast Attack:

Assault Squad ...250pts

- Power Weapon
- Plasma Pistol
- Melta Bombs
- Flamer
- Plasma Pistol

I would take the Plasmas out, they're just not worth it for me, its an Assault squad, and I would lose the Plasma Pistols and keep the Melta bombs. I would also take a melta gun over a flamer, since if you do want some Anti Tank in there, take a single melta, get it within 6" and add 2D6 to armour pen.

Elites:

Dreadnought ...165pts

=140 pts

What kind of Dread have you got? Not got the codex on me at the moment, but I do know the basic points cost is 105pts. So, thats not your basic dread. What weapons you got? . I would also reccomend Drop Podding him if you have the points (you can probably do that if you decide to take my advice - obviously you don't have to ).

with the adjustments id make you can have a very killy list at 750 - you also have 2 points to spare (OMG:biggrin

ok, thanks for the advises, and that dread is supposed to be a normal Dread, my fail...

but what about Whirlwinds? Are they worth it, with what should one arm them?
