I wanted to do something a little different for my next army and I thought a footdar list would be fun. For this list I'm not looking to be super competitive (that's what my wolves are for) and I don't want to be shoved into the "mechdar or NOTHING!" train of thought so please give advice within those bounds.

HQ
Farseer 140 pt
runes of witnessing
fortune
doom
spirit stones

ELITE
Harlequinx7 180 pt
death jester
kissx6
fusion pistolx2

Troop
Guardiansx10 85 pt
shurikan cannon
Guardiansx10 85 pt
shurikan cannon

Heavy
Wraithlord 130 pt
brightlance
Wraithlord 130 pt
brightlance

So that should be 750 on the dot. I want this to be a precursor for a larger army as well that would eventually include the Avatar, Eldrad, Wraithlordsx3, Harlequins, swarms of infantry, etc. So what would you all suggest to improve this footdar list and in addition, any tactics you would suggest? Oh and I'm curious as to what the best troops are for a footdar list so any help there would help too.

Or on the other hand should I just wait for the new Eldar codex and keep bolstering my space wolves force?

Most paople will tell you to drop the guardians and get some dir avengers, which dont get me wrong is a better option but i do like the guardians due to the heavy weapons they can move and shoot with. I think you should replace the bright lances on the writhlords with scatter lasers and use the saved points to get a warlock with emblden power in each guardian squad. This will give them more punch if they get bogged down in combat and will have a better chance to pass their morale checks.

Run the farseer in one of the guardian squads to take advantage of the fortune power and you should be laughing when you get to reroll the cover saves. Harlies are the best choice in a footdar list, i have found that the the veil of tears power from the shadowseer is most invaluable. You might want to think about replacing the death jester with one of these awsome models, they will ensure your harlies survival as they fleet across the battlefield.

Hope that has answerd your question and is some use to you.
