It's 600 points exactly mate.

Devastator squads are built well (one for anti-infantry and one for anti-armour) but this isn't a very mobile force. Your devastators can't move if you want to shoot, and as they are only 5 men if they are openned up to a round of shooting they could suffer. I would probably take a vindicator or predator instead.
If points allow it, I would remove the camo cloaks on the scouts and give them Telion instead. He is an awesome guy to have, so if points allow take him.
Tactical squad should have a Ml and flamer for special weapons at least.
What HQ are you taking?
You may also surprise your enemy if you take armour at such a low points game. Which means he may lack the means to take them all out.
Also, what armies will you be facing? (if you know them).

Here's a quick 2 minute draft of something like I would take

HQ
Librarian (attached to tactical squad) with Null Zone (or smite) and gate of infinity - 100

TROOPS
10 Tactical Marines with Flamer and Missile Launcher - 170
5 scouts with 4 snipers and 1 ML, has Telion - 125

HEAVY SUPPORT
Vindicator - 115
Predator with heavy bolter side sponsoons - 85

Total points - 595

Telion is a bit of a points sink, so you could take him out and get another vindicator or predator and buff up your other squads a bit.

one problem with your lists ultra, its not to the old combat patrol rules, im in the same tourny and the rules are i think, total of 33 armour for vehicles, no special or unique characters no 2+ armour saves or 3+ invul saves, and i think thats it. and only 600 pts
i would say thats a pretty sound list, i would take more tactical marines, or you will et killed by a particular biker army that should be there

Aah fair enough. I never played to those rules before, so was offering input to how I assumed it was played :)

I'm still not sure on the devastators. Sure they can kill a lot, but I'm worried about their manouverability.

just so every knows the rules for combat patrol are this
1. No armour value above 33=Front Armour+Side Armour+Read Armour
2. No more than a two wound model
3. No better save than a 3+ armour or 4+ invulnerable
4. No special characters or unique characters
5. No ordnance
6. The only requirement is you have one troop choice and up to one Hq but its not a requirement

Just so I'm clear, is this only for your tournament, or the general rules of combat patrol?

Those are the general rules of combat patrol; know those and for the most part you should be good to go.

Also for the record, that five man squad with Telioon costs 135 points, not 125.

Larmour, obviously your list needs an HQ of some kind; I would suggest a librarian or chaplain as they are decent even when left stock. I would suggest getting yourself some armour though, either a rhino or razorback for the tax squad, and trying to bulk the devs up to six guys with three heavy weapons.

Cuts down on firepower, but takes longer to get at those heavy weapons, unlike your four and one setup where two wounds means risking a big gun.

Why those rules? Why not just state the FOC (0-1 HQ, 1-N TROOPS, etc) and let people be as creative as they like? Is it that one list then dominates?

I'd suggest dropping the plasma pistol and the fourth heavy bolter in that six man dev squad to either allow for you to give the razorback a different weapon or to maybe get another razorback in the list. You don't have to transport anyone around in it, the thing can even be used as a distraction or backup in case the tactical squads razorback is destroyed.

All in all though, if one of those things has a chance to make life harder for your opponent than two or one armed with different weapons will be all the better.

Yeah I agree with darkreever, the plasma pistol is a bit too much of a risk at this level to place with your only power weapon plus if you drop that and a heavy bolter you will get an extra heavy bolter if you get an extra razorback, and no one wants to see two armed tanks driving round the board at 600pts.
