since I just got my codex via completely legitimate means *cough* I though I'd make a list using models I liked, not caring if there competitive

If you dont care how it plays, why bother posting it? just wondering:biggrin:



The only real problem is that its real slow. You also have very little AT. It could get ugly against tau, ig, and other armies that lay down heavy fire. Three leman russes could really mess you up. It certainetly look fun to play and with so many models alot of people will be scared.

Still looks like it would be a very cool army to build and convert....

I think the game play would be a blast too. I say go for it... I'd like to see all of that on the table... Even my IG would have fits trying to reduce that many models to a managable size....

It looks like a good footslooger list. I would consider giving the big mek a shokk attack gun and the kommandos burnas to slice open vehiles or flame near-by infintry. Should be fun to play though.

If there's one problem the new Orks have, its their LD when the body count falls which in particular hurts the elite choices. For this reason I'd try to max out the Kommando unit if possible, it'll make them that much more durable.

were Orks, we don't care, you can NEVER beat Orks, also these days anti tanks not really much of a problem, other than Vindicators, but since I have a shed load of rokkits, I hope I can handle them

well although the shock attack gun is nice profile and rules wise, I just can't stand the model really, plus the meks gonna advance with the infantry, to give me my shield saves
and Burnas just cost waaay too much

the Kommandos are a one trick pony, they infiltrate and try to get a look on the side of enemy vehicles to blast with Rokkits, unreliable yes, but oh well, my enemies attention will be distracted by them for a turn, having to take target priority checks, thats a turn of shooting they might soak up, if not, oh well

a) get rid of your illegal copy of the codex.

b) if youre going to use a footslogger list, youre best off with units of 30 boyz. and ghazgul

units of 30 boyz would make each individual squad last longer, but as a whole I don't think it would, it would reduce the number of squads, and therefore reduce the number of targets, more targets means I'll last longer
and everyones gonna be using the ghaz model, for either there basic warboss, or as ghaz himself, I already have me Boss ready to do some stompin and squishin

All I can say is, man (or is that 'ork',) that's a lot of shootas.

Or maybe I mean that's a lot more than I've got.

No I lied, there are other things I can say.

Do you expect your shoota boyz to make it to cc? If not, give your nobs big shootas instead of powerclaws, I would.

What's your warbosses role? He surely isnt just gonna walk slowly across the table until he's close enough to call an 'entirely unexpected WAAAAGH!' is he? CC warboss=retinue and trukk, I'd say. Alternatively, hide him with the shootaz near the back and pray he doesn't get taken out with ordinance.

Though as you've indicated that this is for fun, meh, do what seems most fun!

of course you should, Shootas = more Dakka, more Dakka = dead umies and stuff

they will go into close combat, there the first line of attack, the shootas go forth taking out tanks and arder stuff, and then take the enemies counter charge head on, then the Slugga and Choppa lads come in as MY counter attack, and smash the enemy away (hopefully)

the warbosses role is to join one of the Slugga units at the back, making sure all the boys are all going in the right direction, and being at the back also means he can run away safely without any of the other lads noticing, not that he ever would of course <.< >.>
