ok so my friend keeps complaining at me to put up his list ( he's at my house right now ) but he wants to start up a word bearers army but doesn't want to do the typical cookie cutter chaos army and all it word bearers. so give him advice so he gets off my back Xb

the Chaos Lord seems bland. i'd consider taking a Sorc. instead, or boosting the Lord with other equipment, though i would not take a plasma pistol for him.

not sure if i would take a Greater Daemon even though it would be in fluff. he can't do anything the turn he comes in not even shoot, and i've alway seen them die easy. plus they cost a Champ, and Champs are more useful IMO.

if he's set on using the Possesed models, then let him use them, though i wouldn't.

Chosen look good, though i prefer MoK or MoS for them.

i'd make your Lesser Daemons two squads of 15. citing the above reason, you want them to survive a round of shooting to be effective.

the first CSM squad looks good. lose the PW on the second squad if it's whole purpose is to sit at home and shoot.

PM squad looks good.

Las Preds are a potential fail. one Podnought, Outflanking War Walker, etc. and they're gone.

i'd recommend using two Vindies (dunno why, but Vindies have a very oppressive feel about them, like the Word Bearers) or a LR. switch out one CSM squad to have IoS and load up on flamers and PF for decent assault unit.

lastly, if you're bent on using Summoned Daemons, you need more icons to deep strike by.

OK, so the lord should have a daemon weapon, no mark, and a combi-melta. the chosen can only have 4 special weapons, so drop the falmer, and personaly, I'd make the predator turrets twinlinked to be sure you kill what ever you shoot at! Nice list! Happy Gaming!:biggrin::biggrin::mrgreen:

Give your lord twin lightning claws and MoK and is now ready to lay the smack down in close combat.

Greater daemon is nice but you don't have any other monstrous creatures for target saturation and in time a single G.D will die.

Chosen are mixed up with anti tank and then anti horde weapons. Give them all the same and drop the extra armour.

First CSM unit is ok but you don't need extra armour. Second CSM unit is messed up a lascannon for long range and a power weapon, you want long range get obliterators. Plague marines need a rhino.

Predators don't need daemonic possession or else you're hitting on 4+.

i always forget that. i never use them and the one other CSM player who uses them never assaults with them.

i checked the ruling in the codex on that and couldn't find it; where is it at?

and lastly, mercer's advice is solid, though i'm never against putting a single flamer on melta Chosen, you have no idea how handy that is.

Yeah it's great mate and the CSM player you play with should assault with them, not why they wouldn't as assault is all they can do and having it stand there a turn is dumb.

The rule is fonud under summoning daemons section

thanks guys i will let my friend know about all the advice. oh and Primarch chosen can take 5 special weapons. check the codex. says one guy can take on then the unit can take 4. I am also with Inquisitor on the flamer with the choosen. 4 meltas clearly kill whatever vechile and a flamer is nice when you play against those nasty horde armies. also thanks Mercer I actually forgot they can assult the turn they show up. ( never used one myself so I didn't know )

My point is though flamer does nothing to vehicles and a single flamer doesn't scare hordes. So you should make sure they have all the same weapons and do the job right

Just as a reminder and nothing more as I am sure you will know this already. Being able to assault when you outflank is no good if they arrive in their Rhino.. As a rhino is not an Assault Vehicle..

Aye I know, but I wasn't refering to that. Greater daemons and daemons can assault from deep strike.

I'm sure you do catch my drift, however what's the point putting up your mates list if he isn't going to follow advice? He just want people to say how good it is?

Oh, btw, a bog standard champion and greater daemon works out to be cheaper than daemon prince with MoN.

Only time I'd assault with chosen from outflank is if they have power weapons, but you'd take terminators instead, right?
