I built this off my old 3rd ed. Iron Warriors army.

It essentially uses Chosen to cripple key parts of the enemy force, and then rolls them up with tons of gunfire in the 2nd wave.

Back in the IW Glory days, when i could have 4 heavies, I used to field a Vindicator as well. Ive cut that. Now im not sure about taking 1 single vehicle with all this infantry.

Also unsure of Noise Marines. Ive never taken ANY cult guys before. On paper they look like 5-6 dead Imperial SM a turn... anyone have any experience with them?

Im likely to be fighting a very wide range of armies.

All comments are welcome.

well firstly noise marines are pretty good, especially as being fearless keeps them firing till they are totaolly wiped out, so the blastmaster can continue having fun. Tzeentch lord doesn't seem vert IW, but i would give him wings to get him around.

you could split your chosen into three squads which would probably be better, giving you more choice and making things harder for your opp.

also possibly swap the defiler out. More oblits would be the obvious one to go for.

Tzeetch isnt very IW, no. However, I used to take my lord with the Kai Gun in 3rd ed. It was that deamon-powered gun. I figure the fluff is more that he uses a Deamon weapon with a tzeetch deamon inside it.

Do you really think smaller squads would be better? It could get more pricey with more icons, etc.

I guess I would have more points if I drop my poor defiler.... hmm

i would always take as many units as possible rather than bigger squads as long as it wasn't drastically reducing there affectiveness. The icon of chaos glory is pretty cheap so spreading that cost isn't too important. more squads = better options for splitting/concerntrating firepower, more scoring units on the table, giving the opp more targets to split his fire between, gives you more units for the deployment stage, which means more likely to set stuff up after your opp, allowing you to get stuff where you need it.

Good call on the daemon weapon though, fits nicely when you think of it that way

Give the lord some movement, biker or wings? Drop the defiler for more oblits and split the chosen up into specialist squads and your good to go
