Excellant list, the only suggestion i can make would be to down grade the WS with TLBL, to a TL EML. you'll save points and also its more versatile to take out mech and troops.
Agreed, that looks like the best option, I can't really see much else you can do. Good list there, Tough one to crack that.

I'd drop Runes of Witnessing; how much help does a 33/36, rerollable chance to cast a power really need? By contrast, you'll have enough trouble killing high-AV things at range with only two bl. One will be...well, only half as good as not very good.

i would have said drop the Rangers and Doom, which would allow you to drop Stones as well. reason being is with Seer Councils it seems like A)i don't need to Doom since i'm wounding on a 2+ or B)i'm too far away to Doom another opposing unit another section of my army is facing.

the Rangers seem out of place due to the sheer amount of mobility in this list; i' go with a unit Jet Bikes for objective grabs.

2 easy options to lose those extra points:

1. The 5 Pathfinders turn into 6 Rangers, you lose a bit here other than 6 points. You will lose "Mega Rending" and have to just put up with "Super Rending", also you will likely lose out on a 2+ save. So you are AP 1 less, but get an extra shot. And you take damage more, but have an extra wound to deal with it.

2. Just lose the extra Catapult from a Dire Avenger Exarch. That would put you just under 2k without much loss or difference.

That's how'd I shave the points without any major changes.

With major changes?

I would drop the Council to bump up the rest, and potentially add a 2nd Seer (both in tanks now). Probably too much of a change, though. I do like Doom with a Council that has plenty of Destructors. Being able to reroll to wound with 4-8 templates is just plain nasty. Personally, I don't like to take a squad of less than 8 Warlocks. Any less just loses effectiveness for me, despite the cost. But then again I am odd, and very rarely use Fire Prisms.

Jetbikes instead of Snipers could work, they're much quicker after all.

Humm, all good suggestions so far, snipers are there for the bigger targets though; terminators/carnifex ect.. they seem to make short work of them, jet bit wouldn't quite be in the same league. plus snipers make a good objective camp so woulnd't have to move them.

+ "Mega Rending" is a must... and their 2+ save pisses everyone i play right off :)

dont really wanna drop doom either as i love seeing my opponents face crige when i cast it :) and at 24" range it should get anything id want to.

like the sounds of drowngrading to EML's on the WS if i come to land raiders it could get a bit messy though, suppose the FD's can take care of that though.

dont fancy droping witnessing, in the unlikely event i fail the fortune the seer council is as good as dead!

Alrighty, then! I didn't hear "no" to the just dropping a Dire Avenger gun option.

Then again, dropping the BL for and EML will net you 10 more points to spend elsewhere (which seems to just look like another set of Spirit Stones or a Chin Cannon).

Nice list. My only advice is coming from what styro-j said which is pump up the jetseer squad with two more locks. I did the calculations and you can do this by dropping the pathfinder squad and you will be under 2000pts.
