Haha, i like it. My only problem with it is the Khorne Lord. IMO, the bloodfeeder gives him too high a chance to potentially wound himself. Even if he saves against it every time, the odds are good that it'll pop a 1 at least once per game, meaning thats an entire turn you lord doesn't attack.

I'd advise going with a Khorne Prince w/ wings. You get 5 guaranteed attacks, the ability to smash vehicles as an MC, immunity from insta-kills, and a higher WS and S. It even comes out to 15 points less, meaning you could put a fun bit on a vehicle or something. The Prince is equally fluffy without the possibility of commiting suicide.

EDIT: I've chosen Warptime over MoK, It dosn't affect the fluff insanely, but it becomes far more effective. With re-rolls 'n all.

I'm an old fashioned World eaters player and from my point of view Obliterators don't belong and never had even though they are quite good.
I'm not a fan if the chosen with meltas either, although I will admit that it will make a good army.

I like the use of Dreadnoughts, there very Khorne and IMO under used by many players, and a Landraider is always the choice to have in a khorne army.

i also agree, but theres a line to draw with fluff, I love this list because i think i made it as fluffy as i could without jeopardising it's effictiveness

... I think oblits vaguely fit ANYWHERE, But i just find them so irreplaceable, but otherwise i agree, they aren't very Khorne.

Thanks for the comments, good to see i have some approval from a Brother of Khorne :D

And smokingaces, clever idea, but my only reason not to, is that i hate missile launchers... Kraks just don't cut it :\

But you read my tactics well, Was gunna march my LR and Dreads right up the middle :so_happy:

I'd love to be able to fit a Greater Daemon in here, just for that extra Khorne Fluff.. But i cant think of anything worth 100 points to drop :p

I play a 500 pt, khorne w/ greater daemon army, it rocks, as greater daemons are about as close to controlling a god as you can get!:biggrin:

Would this list do well at a tournament Primarch?

Been trying to make a Khorne List to make for a tourney. What do you think?

yep as I see it there are 3 ways to design a Khorne army,

1) You can make a small Khorne force and attach it to another army,
2) You can play a force where everyone has an IOK and not take any unit that doesn't, but play it like a turned force with true Khorne back up force.
3) My prefrence, play and old school world eaters army, Ie only Zerkers for troops, no Havocks, Obliterators, Raptors etc, simple army but a bit hard to play although very effective when you know how to use them.

Yours is a mix of 1&2, kind of like a Khorne force with temporary allies for a raid etc, should play very well and be quite effective, I keep trying to find a way to work Obliterators into mine but there is just no way pull it off as they would be the odd unit out.

K, if you read this post before i edited i'm sorry, Just majorly Pissed off atm. (Irony of a Khorne Worshipper)


What do you guys think if i replaced the 4 Oblits with;

Predator - Daemonic Possession

Predator - DP

Greater Daemon

280.

OR

Predator - Sponsoon Lascannons, DP.

Predator - Sponsoon lascannons, DP.

Or just still with the Oblits.

Trying to decide for defonate before i start saving up. ^.^

I would say you want the Las fire...so taking just the Preds with Autocannons and DP might be not useful enough against all the Mech out there. I'm not too knowledgeable about the fluff stuff (although I'm reading a lot) But I would say keep the oblits. They are just too dang awesome. If you have to drop em, I would take the Preds with Sponsoon Lascannons and DP. That's just my 2 cents. I like the original list a lot...I wanna try it out sometime. :victory:

Yeah :) I was happy with my Original list, think its the best list i've ever made. lol :) Was really proud. Collecting the models for it also, just 2 Oblits and a dread to go. ^.^ So yeah i can't wait to try it either. :D

Only reason i suggested Pred is that they are more fluffy than Oblits. :)

Hmm, Your list looks more... Structured. But i think structured dosn't really work in Khorne's favour.

The defilers are nice, I was literally 3seconds from having 2 in my original List, But due to needing the lascannons from the Obliterators, i chose those instead. Annoyingly tho, Defilers are very Khorne-like IMO, Very cool models and fun to play with, But i think For the sake of needing anti-mech I'll take the Lascannons.

Also i think i'll keep the Land Raider, Rhinos are so unreliable, and once they do their job, they just sit there and loose my Kill points. :p Where as a Land raider will usually Do the job, then sit and lascannon.

I like the Flamers on the Dreads, but again, Im just worried about the amount of Mech available these days. Every list i play, usually has little-troops and maximises mech.

Even the local ork-guy uses 6 Meks (3 mek 3 KK). So i have little choice but to take Lascannons :\ Again annoying, because flamers are so much more Khorney than Lascannons.

Oh and the CSM are a no.. With all the anti-khorne alterations i've had to make for anti-mech, I atleast need to keep my Core units Khorne!!
The annoying price to pay for effectiveness... Loose out of some epic Khorne Fluff :(
