Heres an army I playtested again space marines yesterday, and I actually had a lot of success with them (losing only 18 guardsmen, 9 of which were to destroyed vendettas, and 1 lost to gets hot!), and massacring the marines in 3 turns. Just wanted some opinions:

HQ

I know I should put in an astropath, but I just can't figure out how best to put him in though....any suggestions?

Well if the list is working for you then...sweet:victory:
To get an Astropath I would drop the Stubbers and switch out 2 Plasma Guns for 2 Meltas somewhere..there's 30 pts.

I still need to fit in a command squad somewhere though...and that's my problem...I suppose i could drop one of the priests...

evisorators are alot of points for a IC model that weak. scrap those keep the preists.
I was gonna keep them to hit vehicles with....just in case the vendettas are downed...or just to hit more vehicles at the same time since the vendettas can only hit one per turn...

I didn't comment on the Priests because you said the list was working for you, which I assume included the Priests.
If you want to include a CCS then drop the Priests and build the CCS either for its Orders abilities and backfield shooting, or load up with SW's and stick them in a Chimera...I'm guessing the former:grin:

Hehe admittedly when I played with this army i forgot to put in the priests....lol...only realised afterwards when i checked my army list...:crazy:

All I need the command squad for is so I can have an astropath making it a lot more likely that my infantry platoon comes on early in the game and on the side i need them.
